Julius' Visit to the US — a Tour of Gratitude
We’ve just wrapped up Julius’ latest visit to the U.S., where he met with supporters ranging from some of our most generous donors to high school and college athletes.
Some highlights from the visit:
Sitting down with some of AUCF’s first supporters — and newer members of our community — to bring them up to speed on our work in Northern Uganda, including transitioning Kristina Health Centre to “Level IV,” capable of conducting surgery, including c-sections.
Speaking to high school cross-country runners near Portland, as well as runners and rowers from the University of Washington. It turns out inspiration knows no bounds; the rowers were just as captivated as the runners!
Sharing the vision for The Boy Who Runs, the movie version of Julius’ life story, with potential investors and other interested supporters.
As with every visit, we stayed very busy, but also gave Julius time to catch up with old friends and colleagues from Nike, and from his running days.
We’re already looking forward to the next visit!
